Our company activities are in the areas of training, casework and casework review, research and development and consultancy, all areas in which our personnel have been involved during their professional careers.
 
Between us we have over 100 years of forensic experience and the application of modern analytical methodologies to a range of evidential materials. This allows us to offer a variety of courses from the basic to more advanced bespoke training courses in the theory and application of these methodologies.  The courses can be implemented in laboratories in the most appropriate  manner for the applications and for the user. Our training courses in report writing for the criminal justice system and expert witness preparation benefit from our involvement in forensic casework and regular court appearances.

We have access to a wide range of analytical facilities in accredited laboratories. This allows us to offer a bespoke casework sample analysis service and we can thus provide a full reporting capability incorporating the results of re-analyses.

In defence work it is sometimes unnecessary to undertake the re-analysis of samples and we can then provide a detailed scrutiny of the methods employed in a laboratory for the analysis of evidential material and the interpretation of the scientific data.

With access to a number of mass spectrometry instruments and our unrivalled experience of their application to problems in forensic science we are able to provide a spectral interpretation service for unknowns.

Through our involvement with the IPOS (Innovative Physical Organic Solutions) Research Group and the Forensic Science Research Unit at the University of Huddersfield we are able to provide contract research facilities, both short- and long-term, and a problem-solving capability utilising a comprehensive range of analytical techniques and the latest cutting-edge instruments as well as established instrumentation.
